The overarching goal of my laboratory is to develop methods that allow for mass spectrometry (MS) analysis of mucin-domain glycoproteins, a class of densely O-glycosylated extracellular proteins. We will also study mucins in a biological context, since these proteins are integral in numerous diseases including: cancer, cystic fibrosis, and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).
